In collaboration with Marmol Radziner architects and our client (the fashion mastermind behind The Particulars) we transformed this 7,600 square foot coastal compound into a warm and friendly home for a young family. Given such a disciplined architectural envelope it was a challenge to introduce femininity and playfulness, and we did so by introducing lively colors and patterns that express the playful personality of this family; colorful vintage rugs, modern pieces from living artists, cozy textures and layered textiles. The overall effect respects the architecture while also making space for the client’s sense of liveliness and humor.
