Vintner’s Daughter

April Gargulio (Vintner’s Daughter) is a legendary founder in the Bay Area, and we were so thrilled to collaborate with her and fellow legendary founder Anna Brockaway (Chairish) on this project. The new offices included conference rooms, a fulfillment area and a large common area for staff and casual meetings. The setting is The Presidio of San Francisco, which is iconically beautiful and also notoriously difficult to work with – you cannot so much as hang a picture without permission, and permission is granted … hardly ever. We designed a serpentine bench seat with a shelf on the back for leaning art, and also a false wall as a space divider between the office itself and the entry door. Colors and patterns were kept to a minimum, instead we relied on texture and sculptural vintage furniture pieces to bring interest.
